Six Sigma Training

Six Sigma Training (6 Sigma) is fundamentally a business management strategy and is being embraced by every type of organisation for its remarkable success in improving business process efficiency. Originally developed to improve manufacturing processes in reducing variation in a process and consequently reducing defects to near perfection, it has subsequently been extended to any process -- from manufacturing to transactional and from product to service.

The primary objective of the Six Sigma methodology is the implementation of a measurement-based strategy that focuses on process improvement and variation reduction through application structured improvement projects, using the DMAIC approach. The Six Sigma DMAIC process (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control) is an improvement system for existing processes falling outside specification and subsequently reducing defects to a goal of 3.4 defects per million opportunities. Six Sigma processes are executed by Six Sigma Green Belts and Six Sigma Black Belts, and are overseen by Six Sigma Master Black Belts. Six Sigma green and black belts are well sought after by many organisations for their problem solving prowess and are highly respected in all business sectors.
